In recognition of National Primary Care Week, the Texas Primary Care Consortium brought together clinicians and community leaders from across Texas to explore what happens when a community has enough roads, schools, and jobs but not enough access to primary care.

Drawing on stories and insights from TPCC’s latest statewide assessment, Primary Care in Texas: A System at a Crossroads, the conversation features primary care voices alongside community leaders who see how access to care affects families, schools, workforce recruitment, economic growth, and the long-term strength of their communities.

This webinar considers what Texas loses when primary care becomes harder to access and what becomes possible when communities treat primary care not only as a health care service, but as part of the infrastructure that helps them function and thrive. Participants heard firsthand perspectives on what is changing across different parts of Texas, what these changes mean for communities, and why the future of primary care matters far beyond the clinic.
